Prom Ideas for your teenager

Hair ideas:  The key is sponge rollers used the night before. Leave the rollers in all the following day until a few hours before prom. Then with a few rhinestone hair pins, hairspray, and one big rhinestone flower clip, you can whip this hair style right up.
Broken arm cast ideas: If you child plays every sport under the sun like mine, here is an idea for concealing the bright orange cast she is wearing. Black electrical tape, rhinestones, and sequins, are the three items used here to hide her neon orange cast. She doesn't even need a corsage.

Report Card Day

Life around my house really starts to change close to report card day. The kids start offering to help with house hold chores. Beware, when this happens you are about to get the worst report card ever. P's wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, she did however drop in dual credit history. Her class rank is 22 out of 490, so she is generally not my problem. But L, thats a different story. Last year he convinced us that advanced classes were too hard for him, so we only made him take one AP, and one dual credit class. So the good part is that he made a 100 in football, but thats the only good part. The other grades were one B, one C, three D's, and one F. Have I mentioned that I hate the age 16. We have held his drivers license because of grades and now the report card is twice as bad. One of the video sites someone sent me, talked about how times have changed, but that the rules haven't and that the punishment needs to fit the crime. So in addition to not letting him get his drivers license, we are not letting him go out on weekends until his grades improve. After e-mailing all his teachers, they say he makes great grades on the material he turns in, but 13 zeros tend to bring down your average. My oldest daughter (26) never gave me this much trouble, maybe it's just BOYS.

Teenagers and Spring Break

I am wondering if my kids are the only kids that completely loose their mind during spring break. It is like they are possessed by some evil fairy. They both seemed to have forgotten that there are rules that they have to abide by. The week started off with that motherly instinct that woke me up at 4:45 am Monday morning. After checking the doors I found the front door slightly open. Naturally I go outside and see that P's car is gone. So I go up the stairs and check in her room and she is there. Well that means that it must be L that is gone. This should of been my first guess, but since he doesn't even have a driver license yet it was a bit surprising. I call him on his cell phone and he answers immediately and says he is at one of his girl friends. The next words were "I asked P to drive me and she said "no", so I told her I was taking her car, and she said go ahead. He asked permission from his 17 year old sister at 1:30 am in the morning, really!http://onetoughjob.org
